Seems like I am always the list guy - who is on it - but on the cheap.
I have been using the slow time in the Time of Corona to study for my FAA part 107. It is the drone pilot test but is essentially the same as the ground portion of general aviation
It’s really a work project. I spend too many days a month playing up the ladder down the ladder doing roof inspections on our company’s properties. Should be able to accomplish with the drone way faster and with less risk of a multistory fall. (Not
scared of heights, but terrified of falling)
I have a garbage toy drone that I’ve been flying inside the house. A significantly larger one is inbound freight.
Once you reach a certain weight (the drone, not my fat ass) or fly for profit you need the license. I’m not planning on hiring myself out but wanted the paper for my collection. I have a binder with all my certificates and licenses that just grows and
grows.
If I had that lotto money, I’d learn how to fly really fast like our fighter pilot friends and upgrade to a T-38 — so I could be in teterboro, in an hour, to meet my brother for lunch. Might be pushing fuel limits but wouldn’t that be cool.

Finally, someone has a plane on their wish list!
You know, I’ve been on this ‘List for years now and always find the fighter jet stories to be so cool. The other day, watching that video of the last flight of the Phantom F-4 captivated me for a half hour that I didn’t see the time go
by.
As much as it’d be great to have a garage full of “old” cars, I think I’d like to step up and take to the skies. There’s some neat stuff on this for-sale list. Hey cLyDe, if I get a jet, can you teach me how to fly it?

Dan:
I might be SATISFIED with a Vette.
In fact, I will probably, eventually, be SATISFIED with a Lotus Elise (IMHO the best bargain in the sports car world). BUT to be HAPPIER, regardless of the cost, regardless of the aggravation, regardless of anything - I will NEED a Ferrari.
To be clear, this is a me thing. I’d take a ratted out track car that hides in a trailer and only comes out to play. Can’t explain it, it started young. I became fixated at 5 or 6 and while I love all cars, Ferrari has always been my
muse.
If I suddenly had a giant stack of cash, there would be a collection. It would include lots of different makes and models. Given enough, I’d build crazy things (think mid engine, 4WD Mini Cooper - ala the Renault R5T2). But, I’ve got
a Lotto wish list - for the first $15M or so, and it is all Ferrari (and only a half dozen cars!).
