Here's another fun one that I sold last year. I was
really tempted to keep it. 1979 RX-7 "Limited Edition." They
only built 3,00 of them,
all in Beat Black Metallic paint.
Bought it from the local second owner with just 23K miles. It
was an amazing time capsule.
I played with it for three months and then sold it on eBay for
twice what I paid, to a collector in CA.

I remember when I was in elementary school, before I understood
cars, models, etc, there was one in my neighborhood. It was part purple, part
primer. :-) I thought it was the coolest thing ever!

I actually bought a local one last year for grins and to
flip. Had fun with it for awhile and made
some money on eBay. Low miles with a
4-spd.
A guy in Alabama bought it and he had it shipped via
open carrier all the way from Seattle.

Actually, my Opel GT was one of my favorite cars as a
teen.
Although the valve cover is big... and the cam IS in the
head, it is not an overhead cam.
Grossly under-powered. Flip over headlights were
a pain to keep working, suspension was acceptable at best.
But with a good hard set of Polyglass tires along with the
torque tube on the rear end, handling was super predictable and
consistent. The freeway off-ramp nearest my house (Keegan,
HWY-50 east at Bradshaw) was a constant uphill gradient (1.5%) and not 90
a degree left hander... more like 105. You could come off the
freeway and never slow down, at the turn pop down a gear, tap the brakes
flick left then full oversteer right into the most repeatable 4 wheel
drifts... every time. OK, the other side of the Freeway was where
the Ice Rink was where I worked and played Hockey... I was spending a
couple hours a day on a Zamboni so 4 wheel drifts were every day life at
that point. I'm sure it helped.
I had a CHP follow me all the way to my folk's driveway one
night... told me that he would love to write me a ticket but just
couldn't. I never exceeded the speed limit and although he said it
looked like I was almost completely sideways, the little car never left
it's lane... Looked spectacular!! I know you didn't mean to
do it <wink> Don't do it again.
Before I left for Canoe U. I probably did it another 100
times.
The car world is ending.....
Someone actually saved this SH1T BOX!

Ha! That’s exactly what I think with all the random piercings –
