|I’ve driven both the C4 and the GT4 back to back, they drive the same. Maybe I didn’t push either hard enough to feel the real difference. |
The issue with the series was middle age hit it the same way it hit me, the weight just kept coming.
365 - 1500kg
400 - 1700kg
400i - 1830kg
412 - 1805kg
I prefer the simplicity of the design of the early car and they all were manuals.
That is another one that has been gathering dust in their showroom.
Considering it’s just a stretched GTC/4, it’s the better deal (The C/4s going for double).
Wouldn’t the carb’d 400 be rarer? It wasn’t in production for long before they introduced it with Bosch’s Jetronic injection, which lasted the rest of the run (and into the 412 series).
P.S. I still love the 456 out of all of these 2+2s.
P.S.S. My GT4 with a local FCA member’s injected 400 at one of our events from a few years ago:

This one is a bit shabby, but I think they’ve figured out that the 365 version of the series in good condition is a $100k+ car. If you can find one.
I'd consider a manual. I've heard the auto is completely unrepairable. Company in Michigan made them, since gone out of business, if I remember the story correctly. I suppose used ones might be available, but it's not worth the effort. That BAT 456 was a gorgeous color though.
No one wants an automatic 456.

Not really. These two have been sitting at these asking prices for a while.
Someone just paid retail...
