Re: A/C R134a pressures

Thanks to all for the advice. Tonight I added a few more oz. of R134a to my
car bringing the low-side pressure up to 45 pounds at idle. Ambient temp of
about 90 degrees F. I then took the car for a drive and the A/C was acceptably
cool. I think I will insert a thermometer in the evaporator vent, start the
system, then begin adding R134a again while observing the temp. I will stop
once the temperature bottoms out or 55psi is reached - whichever occurs first.

  Progress is good.

  Rick,

At 90F ambient temperature, the low side should be 45-55 psi, and the high
side should be 250-270 psi. This applies only for an R134a system.

Subject: [Ferrari] A/C R134a pressures

Hello Troopers,
What pressures should one expect for the low and high sides of a R134a
converted 308 A/C system? I know that changes with ambient temperature too.
Your advice?
I charged my system last weekend. The low-side charged up to 45psi,
engine running and A/C on high, at 90+ degrees ambient. I did not measure
the high-side pressure.
Advice?

Rick
