Dan it is true, I ran the whole length last June on the way back from Las Vegas. Add in my 7 - 8 mph speedo error ( measured ) and a 5 - 7 mph fudge factor and I set the cruise control about 92 - 94 unmolested for near on 600 miles. There are plenty of empty stretches where you can see for miles and supersize that with your right foot too. Cuts the trip from El Paso to San Antonio down to about 7 hours.


Gasoline here $1.95 today. Who could ask for anything more?
