I can understand the desire to leave at the absolute top. He is a perfectionist
and that's the ultimate salute to your philosophy.

Maybe he was bored? I think his only motivation to be as good as he was the
last few weeks is because he knew it was the end.

Who knows.

Unfortunately I think he was given an offer he could not refuse godfather
style. What other sport does the best performing athelete retire. I still cant
figure it out? I believe though that more than not wanting to race with Kimi,
Michael wanted to give Massa a chance, it is the only way I can make sense out
of this plus why would Ferrari not want 2 great drivers???? I think if Brawn
and his crew leave Ferrari will be much weaker next year so what were they
thinking.....

lurking mode off

That pass was awesome...and he was on a rage in the beginning before the
puncture.

His performance today was basically a bitch slap reminding everyone that he's
leaving because he's bored.

Amazing...a role model for domination, destruction, precision, and crystalline
horror...like a snail on the edge of a straight razor.

I'm switching to CHiPs reruns now that he's gone.

You left out one last pass as a "Just in case you've forgotten who you've
dealt with for the last 16 years." Kimi did not want to give up the
position...

Anyone hear what the story was with his car when he seemed to suddenly loose
pace for a few seconds? Happened at least twice. The Speed folks mentioned
he might have been dealing with a problem in the car and driving around it.

If so, it echoes Spain a number of years ago when he was stuck in 5th gear
and still finished second (including a pit stop!).

Damn...MS went out in style...Interlagos lap record, fastest race lap and a
near podium finish from 19th...
