Hey Phil: I had 2 red Lancia Scorpions. One a '76, and one a '77. Not bad once
you took the cats and the other smog stuff off and added Cavallinos to the
front fenders <G>. You can't believe the number of young women who would say to
me ... "Nice Ferrari, mister." To which I would always reply, "Hey baby, want a
ride?" It NEVER failed! <G> Both were totaled. The first by my son in
California and the second by 'one of our friendly neighbors from the south',
who hit me from behind in Tucson one night while I was stopped at a red light.
He was doing an estimated 50 mph and never hit the brakes. He was drunk,
illegal, no drivers license, and in a stolen car, and skipped back to Mexico as
soon as he was released from the hospital with a broken ankle and the depressed
skull fracture my pointy 'Tony Lama' cowboy boot gave him after it happened
while he was laying out in the middle of the intersection at 3 am.

Yer pal, Ferrari Bubba

Subject: [Ferrari] And the lore continues

So far it looks like Dick Petrick got the bug 1 year sooner than F Bubba, I
didn't think any one was older than I, my first infatuation was not until 1966,
and that was all due to Lancia.......which were cars eminently important to our
friends at Ferrari.

Both got bitten the old way, through racing.

Grazie, Phil
