Gary is right!  I still have the window sticker for my 83 Spyder 2000.  
(Normally-aspirated with the speedline "turbo" wheels).  It was a whopping 
$16,999.00.  Many dealerships, that survived the Pininfarina marketing efforts, 
had birthday parties for these cars.  A 280Z was a fraction of the price.
