I guess former military is close. 4 yrs of active duty and 32 years of  
Reserve & National Guard, which probably, according to the points  calculations 
had 
another year or two of active duty for schools, training,  teaching and other 
assignments.
 
Are you at Ft. Campbell or Ft. Knox. We go down to the commissary at Ft.  
Campbell occasionally from Bowling Green, I can't remember what the 163 MP Det. 
 
is. other than its not CID.
 
Drop me a note off list with a phone number if you'd like to get together.  A 
number of us get together in Bowling Green the second Sat. of each if you 
feel  adventurous and want to drive in. Of course I can always use another 
Ferrari,  there are only myself and one guy with his Lamborghini to represent 
the 
Italian  automotive crafts amongst the group.
 
As for civilian comparability of pay, it always boils down to MOS &  
assignments. Drop me a line for more specific info.
