Subject: [Ferrari] 87 328 throttle

I have a 1987 328 GTS. A few days ago, I was driving along when the car
suddenly lost power. I pulled to the side of the road and the car was idling
just fine but nothing happend when I stepped onto the gas. I opened the hood
and discovered that the throttle screw which hold the throttle had come almost
out. I screwed it in hand tight and was able to drive the car home. When I
got home, the throttle screw had back out some more. I tightened it with a
wrench real tight. That made the throttle stick so I loosened it it and it
worked fine. However, it keeps backing out and I have to tighten it every few
days. Anyone have this problem before and what was the solution. Its a brass
colored screw with a spring behind it. It hold the throttle mechanism into the
accelerator cable. If it gets too loose the little piece which goes into the
throttle comes out and does not engage the cable. Any ideas on how to make it
stop backing out? Thanks.
Jim
