Could be a couple of things ... Usually this sort of problem is due to an
internal leak in the fuel system causing a loss of 'rest' pressure.

Most common fault, is leaking injectors. Quite honestly, I've never seen any
CIS injector other than new, have a proper spray pattern. The replacement
injectors are an improved design.

Could also be a leaking check valve at the fuel pump, leaking cold start
injector, or the cold start injector firing when it is not supposed to.

FWIW, my QV will exhibit this behavior from time to time, usually when it
hasn't been driven in awhile. With regular use it seems to go away :-)

The car is difficult to start when warm, unless I step on the gas.
Apart from that it runs well but I believe it is a bit rich, judging by the
exaust ...
