Oh what the hey, might as well answer a question that actually has something
to do with Ferraris :-)

Most likely something in the linkage is binding, bent, or out of adjustment.
The drivers' side controls the passenger side only, so the problem is most
likely on the drivers' side.

Something is preventing the mechanism from fully locking, that is why it
locks and then unlocks. 

Can't really give you anything more specific than that without seeing the
car. I wouldn?t think that is the door lock actuator, as it seems to be
working as it is supposed to.

My lock (driver?s side) isn?t working anymore. It worked perfectly well
before I sent the car to the dealership. I guess a mechanic who wasn?t
used to working with this car, forced it or something of that nature.
After all, to lock it, I had to go ¼ turn rearward and to unlock it, I
had to go ¼ turn forward and then ¼ turn rearward. The key simply turns
and I hear no click, I see the black button moving down a bit, but it
doesn?t stay down. I hear the click only if I push down on the black
button, then the passenger?s side lock goes down at the same time, but
both buttons  lift up as soon as I let go. I took the panel out, but I
can?t see why it?s not working. Things move but nothing tells me why the
button doesn?t stay down.
What should I check ? Do I need another lock ? How much ? Thanks!
