Ric,
What do you want to spend? You'd probably be better off going with a set of custom 18's. Drive ability and aesthetics will improve, as will the availability of a range of tires.

I have an 1985 TR that I've recently completed a large amount of mechanical and cosmetic restoration. I've rebuilt the motor and transmission and also have replaced the fuel system with EFI using a Motec M48 engine controller. However, I can't even tune my EFI! The problem is, my (crappy) TRX metric tires are completely rotted from use and age. I have no interest in buying another set of TRX tires, but instead would like something a little more standard.

I've had no luck locating stock 16's, and the 17's and 18's that I've found are just too pricey (~10% the value of the car). OEM 16's would come up from time to time on Ebay, but I haven't seen any in many months. I will gladly pay a finders fee to anyone for information that results in my acquisition of a set of OEM 16's for this car. Please make sure to remember, they are the single-lug, spline-drive wheels, not the 5-bolt as used on the later TRs.

Thanks,
RR
