I'd imagine the simplest way would be to acquire a quality active crossover to go along with existing amplifiers you already have.
Are these speakers already in an enclosure or are they just raw drivers? If they're in an enclosure, good chance they already have passive crossovers......if not, I'd recommend the active route for simplicity (and sound quality).
I just noticed you mention a 12" woofer, and a tweeter......seems like that would be tough to match in a 2 way setup. The lowest I've seen a tweeter drop to is like 1800 hz...and I don't know if there's a 12" woofer out there that can play up that high.....700-800 hz sure, but 1800 would be tough. But of course, anything is possible in the audio world.
Please give us more information as to your current equipment setup and the like. I'd like to hear what the other east coast audiophiles have to say....

Does anyone have a source to find out how to hook up vintage speakers?
Stephens Trusonic - 12 inch woofer and Stephens tweeter.
Thanks. Doug
