CG, Nigel and Bud (locally in DC) have had their DB9s for over a year. Besides
some persistent problems with their Linn audio system (inferior amp design),
the cars have been good. I believe the only other issue has been with a faulty
O2 sensor design that was subsequently updated since.

A lot of the electronics are Ford sourced, which is not confidence inspiring.
But in 2006, that level is easily the equal of the other major Euro
manufacturers. So, you can't do much better.

The drive in the DB9 is pretty amazing considering the size of the car. And AM
is one of the few manufacturers that offer a V12 with a 6spd and completely
defeatable driver aids. That is a very refreshing and attractive feature to me.

Britt -

Any info you can provide on the Vanquish? I definitely want an Aston Martin
next. I fell hard for the Vanquish, then the S. I had been considering a
DB9, though, since you could get the manual transmission and I'm not much of
a paddle-shift guy. Your comments make me think twice. It is very difficult
to find any solid info on Astons in the states and I can't find any good web
forums about them either.

Thanks!
