Wow, that does sound awesome. I'll make sure to record it! 

Unexpectedly, I also enjoy the show Pinks on Speed. I never paid much attention 
to it from the promos but after watching one episode, I was hooked. I enjoy it 
for the negotiating and the "reality" factor as the cars are mostly uninspiring 
junk.

My favorite program is Dream Car Garage BTW.

I agree - it was an amazing rally - filled with all kinds of great classic 
cars.  They spent a little too much time on the Renault 2CV IMHO but that's 
just me - I prefer the big HP or more rare classics - but it was a neat 
race.

I may be wrong but I think the Lissac Rally is a re-incarnation of the Tour 
de France (Auto) - perhaps they wanted a change to differentiate themselves 
from the bicycle race?

BTW - There's also a LeMans 24H Classic Race coming up tomorrow (1/3/07) at 
Noon - 1PM (ET) on SpeedTV.  It features over 300 classic sports racers that 
competed (or could have competed) at LeMans between 1923 & 1975.  If you 
like Cobra's, GT40s and Porsche 917s, Ferraris of all variations,  you will 
likely see plenty during this race.    The race is broken into smaller 
groups and racing is done all day and during the night.  They even have the 
old fashioned start where the drivers run across the track and jump into 
their cars, buckle up (hopefully), fireup and take off!  Of course, that's 
just for show - the real start is a rolling start done down the road out of 
site of the big crowds.
