Ken -

Do you use a Mac? The reason I ask is that all of your picture attachments come with two parts. One small .jpg which can't be opened (at least on a PC), and one bigger .jpg which can.

The only other time I see this is from a friend who is a graphic artist and uses only Macs.

Any of you PC geniuses want to explain why the Mac seems to generate attachments like this with respect to pictures? Mostly just curious...

Thanks!

Damn fine writing! It reminds me of James Dean or a Beat Poet. I
miss being 'On The Road' in the middle of the night driving from
L.A. to San Francisco for some clam chowder in a sourdough bowl. I
remember one night in San Francisco I didn't have enough money for
a hotel room, so I slept in an all-night movie on Market Street for
the $1.25 admission. About 4 am they came around to sweep the trash
up and I was included. Damn, it was cold outside!

Thanks Willy!

Coming from you, that is welcome encouragement indeed! I love reading
your stuff about the early CA scene in the Golden Era of the 50s,
Long Beach, Riverside, Phil Hill etc.

I made it home to Houston New Year's Eve, as darkness fell, before
all the drunks came out to play.

MADDness has descended on America! Lighted signs in CA advise calling
911 to report drunks. In TX it's 'Drink, Drive, Go To Jail'. Now that
point 0.08 has been universally adopted as the standard of evident
unsobriety too much after-shave can put you in the clinker with Big
Bruno. I think the next target of the Fun Police will be tasty food.

3,000 miles out and 3,000 back. 540i ran faultlessly, what a great
road car!

Here's my best picture. 10 points to the first correct guess naming
the town this was shot in.
