Hello All!
Just watched the 1 hour program about the subject event. I think it would be better served to provide 3 or 4 hours of coverage to give full coverage to all the great entrants but that won't happen IMHO. But they covered things as well as possible - with Concours Events, Auctions and almost 500 entrants all wanting to experience LeMans I think they did an amazing job. It must be incredibly complex to keep all the cars suitably divided into proper classes then further seperated into race events that provided some day and night track time while eeping the cars more or less evenly matched.

I guess since they wanted to show a little of everything they are unable to show a lot of what *I* was looking for. But it worked pretty well. I saw lots of 356s, 908s, 910s, 917s, 935s, 956s, Ferrari Daytona's and 250s, 512s, GT40s, Lolas, and on and on and on. Of course there was plenty of coverage of the earier cars - the Bentleys, Bugatti's. Alfa's, etc. - all flying down the Mulsanne at the speeds the drivers were comfortable with.

In case anyone missed it, it will re-air Sunday morning at 4AM (ET) (check your listings) on SpeedTV. The official website - http://www.lemansclassic.com/uk/index.html# has some goodies to buy and info - the next race is in 2008 and the DVD they offer is from 2004 and worth the price IMO.
