   Tell him you are interested but will set up an escrow account with a 
international bank - and you will arrange shipping with your preferred 
shipping company after you have the local Ferrari dealer perform a PPI for 
*you* - not him.  He will write back saying he has a relationship with some 
kind of payment company - like PayPal but not Paypal - then he'll  tell you 
how honest the transaction is - and that when you deposit money in this 
impartial 3rd party company he will ship the car - if you like it you can 
release the funds.  The problem?  The payment company is not an escrow 
company - when you deposit the money the car seller will grab it and 
disappear - can you say "instantaneously"?  ;-)

   He's probably "sold" this F40 a couple of times - even if he just gets 
the deposit he's a few thousand ahead.

   I wonder what he'd say if you said you have a friend nearby on vacation 
and you want him to stop by and examine the car for you?  You probaby won't 
get a reply.

   The internet has opened all kinds of great resources for so many people. 
Sadly, the criminals have taken advantage of it just like us normal guys. 
I'm disabled and without the internet all I'd have is the TV and radio - 
even with 100+ channels it gets pretty boring - you'd be amazed at how fast 
people you worked with and socialized with move on with their own lives.  At 
least I can talk to *people* on the net.  ;-)
