Just it has the same engine as a 740 does. I was just trying to point out that the 750 may be a creamier ride but it is not necessarily a lot faster than a 740. I had a 1990 750, purchased new. I ended up selling it with only 12,000 miles on it after 8 months because it was BORING. (I counted the other day, I have serially owned over 50 cars for personal use, not counting those for sundry wives, and rug rats - I am an absolutely promiscuous car slut). If you drive a 740, you would be extremely disappointed. I think they are flat above 80 MPH. I thought the E38 would be an improvement over the E32. NOT! I owned an E32 750. We had the needle pegged at 170. In my tag line in one of my last messages, I told Jim not to put a speed limiter on my version of the software I'm waiting for. He threatened me the weekend that I cruised away from a state trooper to slow me down for my own safety! I'm not trying to "hot rod" a BMW. I just want a faster one while doing the same things it does stock - nice and smooth, and yes, sometimes boring. If I wanted a "hot rod", i wouldn't be using a BMW. I like my luxury cars fast in a straight line. That's all. Rodney Pissed on a weekly basis that my car has a 138 MPH speed limiter....
