My 328 has a little black box located on the throttle valve. It was not so
much a throttle position sensor but TWO microswitches in this box. The one
microswitch would be activated if the car was at idle. This would make your car
run "clean" at idle. The other microswitch would be activated if your were at
full throttle. This would help richen up the mixture. In between these two
points no microswitch was activated and the Lambda sensor did the sensing.

Not sure if the 85 308QV was similar but maybe this helps?

Does anyone know if an 85 308QV has a "Throttle Position Sensor", and where
on the engine is it located??

     Thank You,
       Jerry
