So I have a quick question ... if you liked the 308GT4, miss the 308GT4,
are going to spend the same amount of money on some other car that you
have yet to find, and are spending money on PPI's and vast amounts of
time searching for Miatas, S2000's, BMW's, Mercedes, Camaros, Hondas,
Vegas, UFO's (and various other shitboxes that should be left in the
ghetto or traded for 4 nights with a cheap hooker in an even cheaper
hotel) that you don't purchase, why not just buy another 308GT4? The
nicest one in the world should be $30K and everything else should be
$15K to $25K. And you can buy mid to late 70's 308's for under $20K all
day long. Hell, some people will even *give* you a Mondial just to make
it go away! Just ask ClYde. I think the Hundred Years' War took less
time than the Tom Reynolds car search!

LOL.

manifold or bad head gasket, which would have been around $1800. Didn't
want to take the chance, especially since the car lot droids never once
agreed on a price, and after all the bitching, finally came down to what I'd
originally offered, but by then too many red flags had been raised. The
guy, when placing the ad, told me "around $10K" but when I went to test
drive it on Saturday, the other guy said $12,995. ??? So, I drive it, then
Monday talk to the guy who placed the ad, he said that he'd had it listed at
$11,800 (??) and dropped it to $10,900 (??? again) and would have to get
with his partner (two head honchos). So, he did, and he got back to me and,
without giving me a price, said "We're not too far apart, only a few hundred
dollars..."
>So after all that crap, I really wasn't in a mood to alter my decision and
when they met the price, I told him that I changed my mind, didn't feel
right, and wasn't going to pursue the deal. Geez...
