Reasonably certain, but someone correct me if I'm wrong.....
(This is based on experience with earlier cars, but I think that the gearbox is the same.)
It should be on the very rear-most area of the right side of the gearbox. Look for a thingy with a wire hanging from it. There shouldn't be anything else electrical in that general area.
Oh, yeah, I guess I should have mentioned that this is low on the car, as like laying underneath on a creeper. You won't see it from above......
Hans.

Exactly where is the speedometer sending unit on a Mondial QV (I assume it is the same for the 308QV) and what does it look like? I can't seam to find it in the repair manual, spare parts book, or even the wiring diagram. I have developed an intermittent speedometer and separate odometer (they simultaneously both work accurately and then both don't work at all; working approximately 70% of the time). That makes me fairly certain that the problem is the sender or the wiring between the sender and the dash. I will be doing an oil change in the next day or so and want to look at it while I am under the car, but can't find a picture of it or a description of it anywhere.
Thanks,
Dave Craig
