Howdy -
Have been in & out this afternoon and missed a few laps - happened to walk past the screen to noticed a F430 pulling over trailing flames & burning rapidly. He jumped out and a corner worker ran to his assistance. I was very surprised to see him put the fire out basically with the single fire cannister he had! Others showed up and help make the fire was truely out but very much damage was done.
There seems to be a very large number of F430's this year. Let's hope the trend continues at Daytona and LeMans. The F430 is gorgeous even when tricked out for racing.

Subject: [Ferrari] 328 back to life
Hi gang,
Just wanted to share with you that my 328 has come back to life this
afternoon!
What an overwhelming feeling of achievement !....
Remember this is my first Ferrari, bought last November and at the beginning
of January I've started the work. Here's what I've done:
- new timing belts and tensioners
- new water pump,alternator and A/C belts
- all new hoses (silicone for coolant)
- removed valve covers and checked cam timing
- checked valve clearances
- replaced all cam o-rings and sealants
- same for the distributor side
- cleaned distributor and rotors
- replaced non-return valve, fuel accumulator and filter
- replaced all injectors
- new thermo time switch
- removed alternator, replaced bearings and new pulley
- cleaned everything up and made it look better, like painting the air
filter and white "Ferrari" on top
- fixed the battery mount
- fixed the interference between water hose coming out of pump and bottom of
air box
- fixed the problem with the warm up regulator (bad connections)
The engine now works like a clock, and starts easily after warm. which it
didn't before The car is still on stands but I WILL go for a ride after the
GP, hopefully to celebrate a victory!
I might be listening to Pink Floyd "Coming back to life". On second
thought, I prefer the engine:-)
Forza Ferrari !!!!
Rui - very tired, 3 hour to the GP, 5 hours to drive MY Ferrari after almost
3 months
