Re: Lambo doors

I'd thought about that once or twice. Been keeping an eye out for one of
those 'As Seen on TV' safety hammers with the seatbelt cutting razor
blade and the window cracking hammer all in one convenient tool. Of
course, Lambo glove compartment doors probably automatically lock when
they're upside down so you don't spill your receipts for gold chains and
boxed wine. :-)

Of course, Karl Troy aside, when do you see a Lambo at the track? Odds
are that if a Lambo ends up upside down it's because the valet took it
for a spin while you were dining at the country club and clipped a curb
at 125 or so... :-)

I don't remember much about the Bricklin (did have one for sale here
when I was in high school), but my understanding is that it was pretty
crucial to your continuing mobility that you were able to Flintstone
it...

How much weight does the conversion ad? While I think Lambo (and
Gullwing) doors are "cool", I must admit, given the possibility that the
car may end up upside down (having seen more than a couple of do so at
the track (non-Lambos, admittedly)), how the hell do you get out if you
can't open the door? Crawl through the window? IIRC, the Bricklin SV-1
("Safety Vehicle
One") had a kick panel in the floorboard to allow emergency exit. Which
sounds kinda cool, as you could also use it to Freddy Flintstone the
car, if need be....

Anyone make a conversion for Lambos to make them move like Ferrari
doors? ;)

I think these kits are available for less than $400. That's why they
are so popular in the Import Tuner market. Heck, Shaq put them on his
Navigator...
 just plain stupid

Oh, okay, I see the Lambo doors now. That cost some serious bucks to
retrofit, though. I like the wheels.
Hmmm.
