The most surprising non-sound I think I have ever heard was the start up of 
the F50.

This was the week the F50 made its debut to the public.  I was at the Auto 
Gallery in Woodland Hills CA and we are in the garage with John Amette, 
Technical Zone Manager, who going over the perfunctory procedures with 
Master Tech Eric Sander.  John sez to Eric - who was holding the notebook 
computer - ok, now start it.  Eric reaches over, presses the start button 
and vrooom - ehhhhhhhhhhhhhh.  <----- small letters, very very small 
letters.

WHAT'S THIS?  A Ferrari race car that starts and idles??  The shame of it 
all.  heh heh
