I think Dennis makes a valid point. Having just had the opportunity to crawl all over an FXX last Friday at Sears Point, the FXX is an still born as an Enzo but taken to the extreme limit. It still has a street car soul but is taken about as far as it could go without being a purpose built silohuette racer that looks like an Enzo. Our GT1(TransAM) car is supposed to be a Mangusta.... But, it's a purpose built chassis (Huffaker). The ONLY parts we share with a street Mangusta are the taillights. I suppose you could compare a it like a Street vette vs. a world challenge vette vs. vettes that run at Le Mans. They all look the same but are drastically different under the skin (well, the skin is different too). For me though, the FXX still gets high marks on sound... That shrill wail will make the hairs on the back of your neck stand up if you are a real car guy... Better than sex... Had you the money for an FXX, you could get a real race car and have one heck of a race budget left over. Having an FXX just shows a love of the Marque or a disregard for money... Is the FXX a "real" race car? It might seem like it to most, but it's not in that it's still a modified street car. It's also peculiar in that it's not really intended to be raced, yet it's a race car. The fit and finish on the FXX is perhaps the best ever in a "race car". I've seen all of the published stats on the web, in print, etc. Has anyone driven both or have any insider info on the real differences in feel, performance, scaled weight, etc. Are there any published performance figures for the FXX? Does this video make anyone's privates tingle? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VqsyxuGb_x0 LS ____________________________________________________________________________ ________ 8:00? 8:25? 8:40?
