Hey, I flew in a Bonanza V-Tail once from L.A. to Phoenix to cover the Phoenix
200 Indy Car Race back in the late 1960's for the Her-Ex. The flight was a
little bumpy but O.K. But the pilot landed at the wrong airport, Goodyear
instead of Sky Harbor in the Phoenix area. He had filed a flight plan to Sky
Harbor and when we didn't show up they thought we were down. After a couple of
hours we were finally found at the airport bar still waiting for our ride to
the track. That was the year that Bobby Unser and Mario got together in their
new low rear engined cars and both ended up going under the guard rail in turn
4. they both were O.K. but after that the guard rails were built lower for the
new rear engined cars. The race was red-flagged after the shunt, so we finally
got to the track in time to see the last half of the race. Ever try to file a
race story when you only saw the last half? <G>

Just require that physicians buy the V-tail skeg.
