Wouldn't driving style dictate oil consumption overall?

Yes, old Ferraris prob burn more oil than a new Camry, but how you drive
it will make a bigger difference.

If you're listening to the over run and allowing oil to blow past the
rings on deceleration, you're going have to add oil more often.

I added a few quarts between changes on my '76 GTB.
