This car was originally sold in Italy and it was Dino Metallico Blue. It
came to the US a couple years later and was painted Ferrari Resale-Red!
The previous owner bought it from a gentleman in Minnesota who had it for
several years. He drove it from Minn. to California. He took it
immediately to his mechanic who said "How on earth did this car make it ½
way across the country???" The Major was done along with a complete brake
rebuild with new lines. All rubber hoses were replaced except the fuel
filler hose, which gets replaced this weekend.

Except for the pedals and a Momo Prototipo steering wheel (I have the
original as well) the car has had very little done to it. The paint has
some rough spots on it, especially on the aluminum hoods at the points where
they flex, but all in all it looks great! Someday, maybe in 5 or 6
years, I'll return her to her original gorgeous Blue color. :-)

Simply awesome, and from the looks, largely "unmolested" and original! (okay
the pedals DO look nice, so I cut ya a break) Please read the owner's
manual cover to cover, and pay particular attention to the instructions for
checking the oil...it varies a bit from year to year, and you need to pay
attention so you don't overfill it.

Enjoy!

WOW, what a day!

I got a call this pastSaturday from DeMoise Trk-ing (HIGHLY recommended,
BTW!) saying that my new to me GT4 would be arriving on Monday between 3 and
4 pm if all went according to schedule. I spoke to Gloria, who was 1/2 of
the husband/wife team that transported the Dino. She filled me in on all
the details including where they were stopping before me and how long they
anticipated it would take from there to Indiana. I asked her to give me a
call when she thought they were about an hour out, that way I could be home
to meet them.

Well the day went on, and on, and on and it got to be around 3pm. I figured
that they were delayed in Illinois and it would be evening before they would
get to me. Right about that time she called saying that they were at SR5,
which is only 25min from me.....I WAS 45MIN AWAY!!!! CRAP! I got the
'ol minivan haulin' some serious a** and got to the house less than 10
minutes after they arrived. I had put a call into the babysitter and asked
her to get out the camera and snap some pics.

So I came around the corner and there was a huge white semi parked at the
end of our cul-de-sac...gate down and nothing on it. My daughters and their
friends are screaming their heads off at me telling me that my car is in the
truck. :) I parked the van on the street just in time to see the Dino
backing out very slowly onto the ramp. What a sight!!!! I had a definite
case of PermaGrin!

The car is lowered down from the upper level of the truck and the kids all
surround it looking inside and out, saying C O O L, AWESOME, WOW!!!! I sign
off on the transport and quickly figure out how many little girls can
squeeze in the GT4 at once. Well, if my 7yr. old straddles the backseat
hump, then we can get 3 in the back and 1 up front.

1st (mini) drive:

We didn't go far, just down the street, a quick left and down about 1000yds
or so and back, 3 times!. I did wind up 2nd gear a little, much to the
delight and screams of 4 little cutie-pies. They were digging it as much as
I was. If only the license branch were open today! :( I really want to
exercize this little Italian beauty since she's been all couped up in a
trailer for 2000 miles. Oh well, maybe Thursday or Friday.

Anyway, one by one the neighbors got home from work and one by one they came
over. So far, I've given 5 rides around the neighborhood all the way up to
35mph... Not bad for just getting the car. I'm so damn excited!!!

I'll have a full 1st drive report coming. Thought you guys might enjoy a
long winded story about my GT4 arriving to its new home. :)
