OTOH removing the spare, jack, lead knockoff hamer, knockoff wrench,
etc. from a TR trunk and replacing them with a small air pump and
sealant bottle improves handling. 18" wheels and tires don't hurt
either. Part of it is having adequate torque to steer the rear with
your right foot.

I think he meant to say the spare tire ...
Removing a front tire while driving would certainly be interesting to say the least :-)

Use the specs in the book for the Tire Pressures. And never remove the front tire while driving! It will drastically change the handling of the car. I cant tell you how many 3 series cars I have seen all banged up (left front/right rear) That when you open the trunk the spare tire is removed to save weight. Get better soon Kiwi

Hiya, Well my Ferrari has bitten me in the arse big time! After my two days of glorious driving a couple of weeks ago I came down with
pneumonia... all I can put it down too is the hot sunny weather (hot car inside) and without being aware of it I had the air cond vent pointing at my
left chest for the whole trip.. so that bit of me was cold...
So... I am out of hospital now and recovering... CAN'T wait to be able to drive the car again!!!
Now a quick question... my car is fitted with 16 inch Ferrari wheels... 7 inch front and 8 inch rear... What tyres pressures would be best for the car with that set up? I expect it might be the factory recommendation for the QV model as they had something like that wheel set up didn't they?
