Just to share in the "hijacked" thread when my son was out here for his last
school break he started out only wanting to use my F-350 4x4 Pickup
(something he has been coveting for years and which he kindly reminds that
there is
no need to trade it in since despite the fact that I "need an new pickup
truck" he would take it back to school for me to get the new one some garage
space), but promptly changed his tune when I opened the garage door and the
first
thing that he saw was the Ferrari.

And of course, feeling the "need for speed" he carefully hinted that he had
never driven one, nor had any of his classmates, and that it really did need
the carbon blown out of it. We have a great Farm to Market road out here for
such purposes and I was fortunate enough to get him somewhat slowed down (used
the excuse that we had gone far enough and needed to get back to the far)
before he reached the known speed trap zone.

Now my only current car problem is that thinks that they will give him a
second covered parking spot at his apartment at college if I could just see my
way into letting him tow the 348 back to school behind the pickup. A fine
young "goat-roper" with a little "Tom Cruise Top Gun" spirit now infused into
him
<g>.

And if is nice to see some other neophytes on the list. They ask many of the
same questions that I would still ask after two years of ownership.
