Good idea Ken! Not sure what's driving Mosley to suggest his latest changes to the rule book. Perhaps Ecclestones billion $$ bank account & I assume Max M is no longer wondering where his next meal will come from - perhaps with full bank accts they have forgotten what the spectators are paying nearly a months wages to see?

I wonder how long the sponsors will stick around when the spectators start drifting away?

remember the Monty Python film about the Holy Grail? King Arthur and
his Knights all "rode horses" like we played when we were kids. I
think there was even a guy with two coconuts making the "clopping"
hoof sounds. Why not do that in Formula One? Eliminate the cars. Just
have the drivers in full race gear run around the track going "zoom -
zoom" like a Mazda commercial!

Rather than make all these moves towards ultra political

what all eco-liberals like Al Gore, John Kerry and John Edwards
do: Buy carbon credits. Those guys buy the credits and then
continue to fly their private jets, build ever larger houses and
operate a fleet of SUVs, all the while telling everyone else that
they should reduce their carbon consumption. Formula One can do
the same by simply writing a check and erase their guilt at the
same time.

Solar Power!! That's where it's happening! I hear AlGore is
powering his
ell phone with solar cells -
ahoooooo - with solar power, the F1 cars might see 10mph down the
traight - if the sun is out. And the clouds will help with
passing. Should
e real exciting! Add that to the Spec cars - may as well change
the name
o Formula V and be done with it -

The FIA and Formula One teams will begin discussions about the
port's future during the next Grand Prix weekend, at Monaco.
FIA president Max Mosley intimated that teams have agreed to
mplement systems that use regenerative energy and recovered waste
eat, possibly in 2009. He also wants teams to think about additional
green" and car-industry-relevant measures.
The agenda will include talks about the introduction of forced-
nduction, 2.2-liter V6 engines, running on biofuel, with a 10,000-
pm rev limit and a five-race life span. Spec bodywork (which would
e extremely controversial), power-boost buttons, electronic
tability control and all-wheel drive also will be considered. Mosley
ent a preliminary discussion document to all F1 engine manufacturers
lus-intriguingly-Audi and Ford. <snip>
