The starter solenoid gets got and will not work
That's all
Have him replace that and all will be good
It happens on the TRs as well

Subject: [Ferrari] Question on Mondial 3.2 electrics problem

I am travelling with a friend to Silverstone in his 3.2 Mondial cab. After an
hour of fast motorway travel we stop for a coffee. 10 minute stop and his car
will not start. After sitting for 50 minutes it starts right up.

This is not a knew problem but he cannot seem to fix it. When it is hot it
will not crank. It will push start immediately though.

Starter was rebuilt last month (thought to be the problem but obviously isnt)

Only happens when HOT, not when driving for 15 minutes around town. It has to
be a fast run. After sitting for 50 min or so (cooling down?) it will crank.

I could feel and here both fuel pump relays and the starter relay
throwing/clicking when he turned the key. All the lights came on to the dash
(though the
cooling fans didnt fire up, not sure if this is important or not). You turn
the key and just get nothing. No "click" from the starter that I could here but
as I said the relays under the front bonnet were all clicking away.

Anybody got any idea what else to check/replace? I would like to help him
out. Where else in the Mondials wiring would heat soak cause a problem?

Many thanks
Britt
