Hi Jim,
One word of caution - please insure you hook the charger to the correct side - if it is hooked to the high pressure side by mistake you could be injured. You don't want the compressor to inflate the can ---

Each car is different - in simple terms (the only way I know how to tell it) the compressor pumps out high pressure gas to the condenser where it cools the air being blown into the sabefore returning to the low pressure side as a low pressure liquid. There it is pressureized oince again and converted to a gas under high pressure where it is moved to the condenser where it cools the air moving into the car once again - and continues the loop.

All that is from memory (and my memory is poor) - I suggest you do a Google of Auto AC to get a better description -
Just be careful -

My A/C only pumps out hot air. I just purchased a charger and leak repair system that is supposed to be plugged into the low pressure side. On a 328, just where is the low pressure valve located and how can I distinguish it from the high pressure valve. Thanks.
Jim
