Man that is really too bad! At least you weren't hit head on! One of my local clients has a Bentley Continental GT and just had a kid who was heading toward him turn left in front of him and basically hit him head on at a closing speed of about 60 mph. Blew every airbag in the car ... so far the body shop is up to $73,000 in parts and labor and still is not finished! And this figure is before diminished value is factored in. And wouldn't you know the kid only has $100K in insurance coverage. So my client is going to have to have a claim on his insurance to cover the difference. He walked away shaken but otherwise OK. Don't know how well you would have fared in the same collision in the Ferrari with no airbags, etc. So you were unlucky but also lucky at the same time. Credit your quick thinking, reflexes and driving skill!

Well, as luck would have it a young kid following a truck that cut me off turning left hit me in the rear left quarter panel. Yes, in the Ferrari! :( He was following the truck so close that I could not see him until he was heading right for me. He should've hit me head on, but quick thinking had me diving for the nearest opening. I ALMOST avoided him completely by diving to the right, but another car was coming from my right so in order to avoid him I had to move slightly to the left and that is when he tagged me. Car had to be flatbedded a whole 1/2 mile home. I fear that the frame may be involved as my drivers door does not open as it once did. I'm very sad at this. This car has been a peach! Anyway, does anyone know of a reputable shop in the Chicago/Indy/Detroit/Columbus area? There is nobody that I know of in NE Indiana who works on Ferraris and I'm not going to let just anyone touch the car. JIM
