Or the Hudson Teraplane - a cork clutch, a wet cork clutch. Shift into next
gear - press the clutch and the tranny switches gears electronically. Just
a small switch on the steering column.

Remember the old '50s era Dodge automatic WITH a clutch? One took off with the clutch; same withe the stop. The transmission handled the shifts without the clutch. Woohooo!
