Hello all,
? The '79 pictured most probably is a blow through system.? The pressurized air goes through the carbs the usual way.? Think of it as instead of 1 atm of pressure available, there is 'extra' air available.? The carbs work the usual way delivering more fuel because of the increased air available..more air, more vacuum produced at the venturi's, more fuel delivered.? Simple and effective.
? My 83 is similar.? Two IHI turbos feeding the CIS system, pressurizing and able to move the fuel meter 'door' further...delivering more fuel as required by the extra air passing through.? Again, simple and effective.
? I also have a 95 355B and it's about as fast in a straight line.
? The 355 has better brakes, better handling, an extra gear, faster windows, and A/C that works, however.? ;)
The latest FORZA compared a 308 to a 355 to a F430, and while not as large a gap, the F430 seems to do to a 355 what a 355 does to a 308...so let's be nice and enjoy the styling of the '70s and '90s.
:)
