Larry,
Here is one of the best resources around on Maserati:

http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=87

The current Maseratis are fine cars, I have several friends that own
them....like a Ferrari, the later you buy in the production cycle, the more
reliable they are. The depreciate much more quickly than a Ferrari, and are
probably one of the performance bargains out there for a used Italian
exotic...assuming you like the look/style of them.

Subject: [Ferrari] Maserati - QC Issues?

Howdy -
We haven't talked much about Maserati's lately -- I just watched the
Maserati edition of "Victory By Design" and I hadforgotten about all the
gorgeous sports and Formula cars the Maserati Bros produced over the years.
Some truely breathtaking examples - 250F, A6GCS (perhaps the prettiest
sports cars ever) and the 300S to name a few. There are certainly plenty
of beautiful bodies with amazing engines.

The cars produced for the public seemed to have suffered from quality
control problems for much of their life and I was wondering if the newer
examples have improved in that department? I believe the BiTurbos of the
80s suffered as well but have the newest models had that problem following
them around? There seemed to be high demand when released a couple of years

ago when 1st released but the wit seems to have dropped off in recent
years - \\

I;m not able to by one - just wondering --

BTW, who is the parent company, presently?
