Yes it is. The Vanquishes to me are the "only" Aston's to have even though
the clutches are problematic. You have to remember that even though I love
cars I also look at them from a business and investment perspective. The
Vanquish was a 460 HP V12 with an MSRP of around $250k. Aluminum chassis,
Touchtronic Transmission (paddle shift sequential manual). The Vanquish S's
were in the 270k MSRP or more range. The reason I say it is the only Aston
is mainly because now for $125k-$135k you can own a sub 5k mile '02 or '03
Vanquish. Now look at that car sitting next to a DB9. The value of the
Vanquish is fantastic now as a preowned since with any Aston, once the tail
lights are used for the first time, they lose value faster than anything
ever produced. Why spend $180K on a DB9 and lose $40k to $50k in a ear when
again for $125 to $135 you can have the prettiest Aston built in modern
history with power, technology and comfort for at least a year and only lose
$5k-$10k yet actually drive the car 4k or 5k miles. I have had a couple of
S's too and I have to say you really can't feel the 60HP increase on the
road with regular spirited driving. Last but not least it doesn't look like
a Jag running down the road with different plastic parts to designate it as
an Aston. It's just plain sexy looking to me. One of the sexiest GT cars on
the road I think. A little heavy handling but fast. Good value.

Is that a Vanquish next to it in the picture? Can I have your impression of the various Astons (Vanquish/S, DB9)?

Only Pic of the yellow one I had. If it goes through. Now that I think about it I remember something about there only being 5-6 Yellow U.S. Cars.

I think the wheels need to be changed.....otherwise ok....not as
as the 512 TR, but sexy in its own way. FG On 10/8/07, clyde <clyderomero [at] mycingular.blackberry.net> wrote:

Anyone ever drive this car?
I'm curious as to how it differs from the 512 TR...in the real world.
