1) No clue...new Z06 is 31xx lbs (remove your ICE and reweigh).
2) Low teens in the city with 600bhp is Nobel Peace Prize material.
3) Hehe, I'm not sure I would ever replace a Ferrari engine with a GM V8 no
matter how superior it is. The Ferrari powerplant is the soul of the car as is
the accompanying sound.

But for the BMWs/Hondas/Rx7s/Supras, it sounds like a win-win situation.

LS,

Just some questions:

1) If it's so light, why does my car weigh so much??? (4k)
2) Highway gas mileage might be >>, but city gas mileage will be shit...I
average low low teens at best around city.
3) You're gonna start a riot for this suggestion to the list...;)

The compromise will be that eventually I'll throw the LS7 in the goat :)

A 355/360 with a 7 liter GM LS V8 and 600bhp could be a fun powertrain
swap...anyone thought of doing this?

The LS V8 is much smaller, lighter, much more powerful, Le Mans pedigree, more
fuel efficient, etc. It is revolutionizing the tuner/mod world with conversion
kits for everything. It seems like the E36 M3 and 3rd Gen RX7 are the most
popular.

The S2000 conversion specs are interesting. The 7 liter Z06 motor is the same
weight and size as the stock Honda 4 cyl, but can make 600bhp with minor mods
and gets better gas mileage.

How do the Honda powertrain guys keep their jobs??

Those GM Bubbas finally got something right.
