Gentlemen,
Thank you for all of the advice. I am new to the Ferrari list but I can see
that it is a great source of information. I have owned my 90 Testarossa for
about three years ( it was my 50th Birthday present to myself) but I previously
owned numerous sports cars, mostly Porsches 911s and a few race cars (SCCA
formula Vee, Ford, etc.) I enjoy doing all of the maintenance on my TR, yes
even the major service and currently have the engine-transmission out for the
schedule service. I hope to share future information with the list.
Based on your overall input, (unless I find a place closer to Florida), I
am going to tow the car up to Classic Coach in N.J. for the frame work. On the
phone, (I spoke to Rocco) they seemed the most knowledgeable and more
importantly they were willing to do just what I needed done and not give me a
list of "other things" that might need to be done. I unfortunately find that,
at least our local dealer, deals with too many people with more money than car
knowledge, which really is a turnoff to guys that like to work on their cars
and know enough to do it. I can't speak for the newer (or older for that
matter), Ferraris but with the right equipment, tools and some time, TRs are
really not that complicated to work on, at least in my humble opinion.
By the way Ferrari of Central Florida is owned by Classic Coach, however
they send all of their frame and body work to the N.J. shop. I have heard that
there is a shop in West Palm Beach that has a frame machine for Ferrari's where
the South Florida dealers send there work, but neither one (Fort Lauderdale or
Coral Gables) will disclose the shop. If anyone knows, it will save me a two
day tow to N.J.
Thanks again, Maurizio

Classic Coach in Elizabeth, NJ has a frame straightener with all the
adapters for every Ferrari model (quite an impressive unit!) Give them a
call (908) 352-3939. Note that Frank Troisi at Classic Coach also runs a
shop in Florida... not sure if it is as well equipped as Classic Coach.
  Anyone know the shop?

Can someone out there recommend a frame/body shop in the eastern U.S. that
can straighten some bent tubes on a 90 TR? The car was hit in the right rear
wheel and the support frame member for the A arms was slightly bent. A shop
with a frame machine and some experience can fix this but I can't find one
in South Fl. Thanks in advance. Maurizio
