"Right now I'd like a Bentley
Turbo R, or an Aston Martin V-12 (or perhaps a 1963 600 Pullman or an SL600).
Dr. Steve"
All great cars. I have noticed a unexpected side effect of have had the 308 for 8 months.....
Since then EVERY other car I look at and think I might like gets rulled out with the words.....
"why would I want THAT, I have my ultimate FERRARI!"
My dream as a teen was to have a Rolls Royce and a Ferrari and at the age of 38 I managed the combo. I have my veteran cars to "play with" and a small fleet of Italian bikes... where I have also got my personal ultimate a 1974 Disc brake MV Agusta 750 Sport.
I used to be a real addicted collector.... always with to many cars and bikes, always stretching to buying the next one, never having time or money left to work on the ones I had... (came in handy when the Ferrari came up... I sold 3 cars and two bikes from the collection to raise the money)
So since the Ferrari I have had a seachange in thinking.
I now look at vehicles I might want.... then think of the vehicle already IN my collection that best fills that need and do some work or buy some parts for that machine. I have fewer, better machines and I am happier.
Sorry for the random venting... :)
