Thx Dennis,
One of the links that popped up was an article about Pres Bush saying he was 
concerning about the effect of higher gas prices on families - he asked 
congress to approve drilling in ANWR & to fund alternative energy sources  - 
That was back in 2005.

IMO we shoud be drilling everywhere we might find oil while at the same time 
looking for alternative energy sources, especially ones that would use our 
massive coal/coal slurry reserves - we have so many reserves untapped it's 
not right to leave it in the ground.   The effect of $5/gal gas on our 
economy is enormous.

And thanks for correcting my Subject line to include "Off Topic".
