Larry, you're right.  Tom, to clarify my earlier response - Rennlist is
still up and running, as are the Rennlist email lists.  Check out
Rennlist.COM.

As Larry points out, there was a change of ownership a few weeks ago, so
perhaps they are transitioning everything over to the .COM side.  But
Rennlist is still around, vibrant (though forums more so than the email
lists, not unlike FChat v FList).  

Bottom line, if you google "Rennlist", the first result is rennlist.com, and
you can get everything you need overthere - including access to the rennlist
email lists (use the navigation jump bar)

Hi Tom,
Even though Dennis has thoughtfully sent you the requisite "Use Google 
Dammit" email, ;-)  I'll fill in some of the blanks.  Yes, Rennlist email 
lists are still very alive - there was a recent change of ownership but it 
should not have an effect on users.   Along with the email lists, Rennlist 
maintains numerous internation forums.

I participate in the email lists and the number of posts is irratic. 
Somedays I'm surprised to find 30-40 new emails while other days there will 
be zero.

The DNS error you got is probably a temporary thing -
