We thought the Supra's would break but in typical Toyota fashion, They're
RELIABLE!!! LOL.

The driveline of the GTR is stout and relatively simple. At least the
earlier ones seem easier to work on than a modern day Ferrari. Modifying one
today has been made much easier with the aftermarket. PhD's seems to be
needed
to modify anything these days - and that's just for the sound system. OBDII
and other present day emission requirements make upgrades complicated that it
can only be simplified with money. Man I miss the days of changing sparkplug
gaps and turning a screwdriver... almost

One more car to finish fixing and it's Ferrari hunting time for me...

Well said. High horsepower and low weight are where it is at. The
gtr is definitely impressive but you will need 3 PHd's to fix the damn
thing if it breaks (and fast and fat means it will break often if
pushed to its limits).
