Between those two, I would definitely go with the 328. Much better car. I see
no advantage to the QV 308. Does anyone else?

Being me, I'd much rather have a carbed 308 than either of the above.

If it is a low mileage garage queen, figure on spending $6K the first year
replacing anything that moves (or is supposed to move). Either that, or leave
it as a garage queen and do nothing.

If it is a regularly driven example, figure on spending $2K the first year.

I am new to the list and have a question. I have never owned a Ferrari but
have been in love with them for many years. The cost was always too high, so
I specialized in English sports cars. I recently sold my 1959 Jaguar XK
150-S, which I had restored over many years, and am in the market for a
Ferrari. I had my heart set on a "reasonable price, reasonable condition,
reasonable mileage" 308 GTS QV. Reasonable means ~20k-45K mi, $35-42K and
recent Major Service with a clutch change for higher mileage cars.
Unfortunately, there seem to be very few if any, available. One requirement
is Red exterior with Tan or Bone interior. I have found a number of
reasonably priced 328 GTS cars with the correct color and matching the
reasonable price/mileage/condition criteria. I am looking for advice. Should
I hold out for a 308 GTS QV or re-align my thinking and go for a 328 GTS?
If you like, you can reply off-list. Thanks.

Regards,

George.
