A fellow I know, well, his brother in law was the VP at Mattel toys and was in charge of Ferrari models. What a job. Spent months in Italy, went to all the F1 races. Ferrari would give him all these goodies - such as a Rossa Scuderia colored brief case, lap top, shoes, what have you. Most of the stuff is still neatly placed back in the box. Neat thing about it is my friend is a BIG Ford fan - hey Doug - do you want a bag of F1 Club stuff from the Monza race? How about some Enzo press release stuff - comes in a couple of boxes. Dang, those were the days.

DOUG
Got a Rossa Scuderia colored CD wallet - MAN, is that thing red - think of a brief case that color. heh heh

I'm with you guys on the logo clothing issue. I do wear a suede jacket that
has a nearly same color cavallino horse (not the shield, no Ferrari name,
just the horse) embroidered on the left side because that is pretty low key.
I save the real logo t-shirts or hat for car events, maximum 1 logo item of
apparel at a time!

I think that there probably an inverse relationship between the number of
Ferrari clothing articles worn and the number of years of ownership. Of
course, the largest number of Ferrari logo items is most likely to be worn by
someone who doesn't yet own a Ferrari!

Have you seen the picture on the web of the guy wearing head to toe Ferrari
logo clothing: hat, shirt, shorts, socks and of course the red Ferrari shoes?

Matt, I'm right there with you. I don't wear any of
my Ferrari junk - that I just HAD to buy early on -
unless I'm going to an exotic car thing.

Along those same lines, I took the 308 out yesterday
to go to Home
Depot. I went to grab the Ferrari jacket, but then
decided not to. I
began thinking about why not. I think the issue is
that if I'm taking
the Ferrari to a car event, I'll wear the Ferrari
jacket. If I'm
taking the Ferrari to anything else (like the mall), I
won't wear the
Ferrari jacket so people won't think I'm showing off.
And if I didn't
drive the Ferrari to wherever I'm going I will wear
the Ferrari
jacket.
