I am laughing at this whole thread because my house, my garage , my work, my clothing, my life is dedicated to Ferrari and I have gone out with a
Michael Schumacher t shirt, a Ferrari shirt and a Ferrari jacket on. I am only missing the tattoo! Of course I take pride in the fact that most of my Ferrari stuff is
not the run of the mill junk. My mother in law was in Maranello last year and for Christmas I got a whole bunch of stuff from there all made in China! Oh the Pain!!!

I have a jacket just like the one on the left! :-)

Naweed,

Hey, I am with you. I wear more of less, 4 types of clothing: Ferrari,
Harley, Oklahoma State University, and dress cloths (ranked from most
frequent to least frequent). Call it free advertising for things I believe
in. Most of my Ferrari apparel is F1 based stuff. I even have the S/ F logo
tattooed on my leg. Am I snobby about it, no! If asked I even say that I
am supporting my favorite racing team. Hey, I get tired of seeing all of
the NASCAR shirts and jackets, I have to offset what I can.

I totally agree with the statement that the majority of Ferrari logoed
clothing is worn by people that have never nor will ever own a Ferrari. If
you have ever been to an F1 race, you will understand this statement. The
crowd is wearing red.

However, most of my Ferrari clothes are T-shirts and it is just hard to be a
snob wearing a T-shirt, blue jeans (or shorts) and tennis shoes.

I say wear what you want and be happy.

Dave

I guess I just don't get it. I would always wear my Ferrari Jacket and
T-shirt and baseball hat when I drove my F355 GTB. I had the Magnum PI ring
tone on my cell phone (of course it would have been Miami Vice if I had a
Testarossa instead). Wore the clothing and drove the car to Porsche Club
and Ferrari Club events, grocery shopping, work, kids to school, whatever.
Somebody please clue me in on the faux pas I have broken!

Naweed.

I have two rules when it comes to Ferrari badges clothing....
Only ever one thing at a time... hat or shirt or jacket... and never when
driving the Ferrari!

Mostly I wear them in my work van... so people will look and go "yeah right
... like HE could have a Ferrari"

I get a kick out of parking my RR and going to the Post Office.... then
coming back where some people will be looking at it.. and I rock up in a
t-shirt, shorts and no shoes and drive off..... it's classic...

Gavin

All,

I was thinking a little more about the other thread on logo clothing,
why we might not wear logo stuff anymore as we own our cars longer and
why that is, etc.

One thing I like to do is suprise people with breaking stereotypes.
This ranges from actually being a nice, sharing, etc person who goes
out of his way to let the kids at the ice cream shop sit in the
Ferrari, to driving my Rolls-Royce Silver Spur around town with the
seat raked back and my baseball hat sideways just to get people to
laugh. I don't have the Spur anymore, but I carried Gray Poupon with
me and have shown it to random people when sitting at stoplights and
gotten laughs.

The other day I was perusing f-chat or one of those other boards and
read a thread where people were admitting to having a CD of the Magnum
PI theme so they could listen to it when they drive. I thought to
myself, "How silly!" Now I'm thinking I need to get one....that way
when I get friends in the 308 for the first time I can pop it in and
tell them that that is what I always listen to when I drive the
308...I just hit repeat and listen over and over. If any of you know
me, I'd easily say this with a straight face and never tell them it's
a joke -- I'd just be curious to see if they believe me....
