Hey Robert: When my Dino was a daily driver in Tucson, I attended a newpaper
management conference at one of those swank hillside golf resorts that 'The Old
Pueblo' is famous for. I wore my very understated red Tommy dress shirt with
the small Cavallino on the left breast. The publisher seated?next to me
remarked, "Now all you need is the Ferrari to go with the shirt." I turned to
him laughing, unbuttoned my left sleeve, showing?him my Girard Perregaux
Ferrari?watch and told him that "The Ferrari was easy, it's parked out back.
I've got more money tied up in accesories than the cost of the car." Hell,
being the nice guy that I am, I even took him for a 'Targa Florio' run up Mt.
Lemmon after the meeting was over. He was impressed to say the least. BTW, I
recently took Steve J's advice and upgraded from the Gerard Perregaux to a
Panerai Scuderia with the black face, black leather strap with the white
stitching. I felt that the yellow face GP was a good Ferrari starter watch, but
I saw too many of them on the wrists of people that were too ordinary looking
to suit me. The clincher was when I was using the subway?in New York
City?when?der Frau and I were?on?our way to Montreal for the GP. I saw a man
jump over the turnstile wearing a GP ... ?and ride without paying. Obviously a
Ferrari wannabe. Had he no shame? That's the kind of stunt that a person
wearing a Rolex Submariner would pull, IMHO.

Yer pal, Panerai Bubba
